Picture Frame Makeover

Trash to treasure! This DIY was so exciting for me! We are moving to a new house, so we started to separate what we will take and what we will leave. When I came across this wooden picture frame, I had an instant project idea: makeover time!

Supplies: A frame and acrylic paint of your color of choice. If you wish, you can glue on different ornaments. I chose some abstract shapes made out of chipboard. Spray paint to paint the adornments and glue to attach them to the frame (I used Araldite). A primer for wood and varnish.

First, I applied a coat of wood primer on the entire frame and the ornaments.

After it was dry, I painted the frame with a bright pink acrylic paint. Three coats were necessary for full coverage. I also painted the ornaments with silver spray paint.

To protect and seal the paint, I applied a coat of varnish on the frame and ornaments. It added a beautiful shine!
Lastly, I glued the ornaments with Araldite. Certainly, this frame is going to my new home!
Happy crafting!
