Chess Set Makeover

Hey there! Today I will show you how I spiced up an old and boring chess set. Without further ado, let's get started!
Supplies: chess set, primer, paintbrushes, and acrylic paint (black and white for the board). You can paint the pieces with acrylic paint or spray paint.
First, make sure everything you are going to paint is clean and dust-free. Apply a coat of primer to the board. When that is done, start painting the squares. I chose black and white, but you can use any color you wish. I used a very small paintbrush when I was near the border of one square and another. After it is dry, apply varnish to seal the design.
Now it is time to paint the pieces. I applied two coats of spraypaint to get a nice opaque color. Make sure you get all the nooks and crannies when painting. If you are using acrylic paint instead of spraypaint, I recommend applying primer before starting and also varnish when done. The spraypaint I am using seals very well and leaves a nice shine, so I did not apply varnish.
You are finished! Enjoy your lovely chess set.
